What is King Midas' age supposed to be?

I am thoroughly confused, because when I first read, I thought he was only supposed to be a few years older than Auren. But if we was also the flesh trader that wanted her so badly, was he flesh trading as a teenager? Or is he supposed to be quite a bit older than her??

I am lost. 😆
